COMPANY CODE OF ETHICS

1. GENERAL PRINCIPLES

The main task of Ost-West Anlagenmontage s.r.o. (hereinafter referred to as the „Company“ or „Ost-West“) is to develop and maintain an economically healthy and prosperous business. The Company assumes responsibility wherever it can effectively manage its activities. We are responsible to the environments in which we operate, to our employees, business partners, and the general public. Therefore, we have established the following principles for our business:

  • We are committed to conducting business according to high standards of morality and ethics.
  • We comply with the legal standards and regulations in the countries where we operate.
  • We adhere to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations and recognize our responsibility to uphold these rights, which apply in our relationships with employees and the communities where we operate. This commitment also extends to activities related to the rights and claims of indigenous peoples.
  • We are open to all those affected by our business. We respond to inquiries and requests from third parties and communicate with stakeholders in a timely and effective manner. Within our sphere of influence, we strive to ensure that our suppliers, subcontractors, representatives, joint venture partners, and other partners adhere to the principles set out in our Code of Ethics when carrying out our projects.

2. MARKET BEHAVIOR

Corruption, bribery, and unfair competition disrupt the market and pose an obstacle to healthy economic and social development. Ost-West does not tolerate any of these activities.

  • We will not act in violation of applicable competition laws.
  • We will not directly or indirectly offer or provide any payments or other rewards to any individuals or entities to induce them to act in violation of prescribed duties, with the aim of obtaining, retaining, or controlling a business opportunity or securing any other improper advantage in the conduct of Ost-West's business activities.
  • We will not directly or indirectly demand or accept any improper payments or other rewards that are offered with the intent of inducing us to act in violation of established duties.
  • We accurately record all financial transactions and maintain accounting records in accordance with locally accepted accounting standards, and in all reports, we follow the relevant methodologies and rules of our Company.
  • Our IT procedures include control and security features that ensure an adequate level of protection for our partners' and clients' data.

3. EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS

For Ost-West, a strong and solid relationship with all its employees is of key importance, based on mutual respect and dignity. The working conditions offered to employees must meet at least the minimum requirements of national legal standards and regulations, as well as the relevant conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO).

  • We provide a safe and healthy working environment and strive for its continuous improvement.
  • We provide equal opportunities to individuals regardless of race, color, gender, nationality, religion, ethnicity, or any other distinguishing characteristics. We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment.
  • We provide employees and others associated with the Company the opportunity to raise legitimate concerns and complaints in a manner that ensures proper review and appropriate corrective action, without any retaliation.

  • We do not use forced or slave labor, or any other forms of involuntary labor, at our workplaces. We do not allow any practices that would restrict the freedom of movement of employees.

4. ENVIRONMENT

Ost-West firmly believes that project development and technological implementations in construction activities can significantly contribute to creating a more sustainable world, and in line with this belief, it applies proactive management at all levels with regard to environmental protection.

  • We implement organizational structures, management systems, procedures, and training plans that at a minimum ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Our Environmental Management System (EMS) is certified according to ISO 14001. This area is part of our core business activities and strategic goals, and therefore, it is the responsibility of the Company's management.
  • In the spirit of continuous improvement, we involve our employees, subcontractors, partners, and other stakeholders in the environmental management process.
  • Our goal is to continuously improve the evaluation of our projects, products, and services in terms of environmental protection by finding and adopting ways to reduce negative environmental impacts throughout the entire lifecycle of these projects, products, and services.

EMPLOYEE CODE OF ETHICS

The employee code of ethics defines the most important principles of employee behavior towards clients, partners, the public, and each other.

1.Principle of Legality
  • An employee shall always comply with the laws, regulations, and standards applicable in the area where the work is being performed.

2. Principle of Quality

  • The employee performs the assigned tasks to the best of their abilities, knowledge, and makes use of all available resources.
  • An employee is responsible for the level of their knowledge and skills and continually improves them.

3. ZÁSADA ETIKY PRÁCE

  • An employee performs the assigned work to the best of their abilities, knowledge, and utilizes all available resources.

4. Principle of Collegiality

  • An employee does not hide any mistakes they may make, but strives to correct them promptly.
  • An employee does not hide their professional and knowledge shortcomings, but strives to eliminate them, if possible.
  • Employees always act in a friendly, willing manner and with maximum effort to accommodate clients, partners, the public, and each other.
  • Employees help each other and make their work easier for the benefit of the entire company. In case of misunderstandings or disagreements, they will try to resolve the matter through explanation, agreement, and reconciliation. If this is not possible, they will submit the matter for review to a superior, ensuring that no time or other damage occurs.

5. Principle of Openness

  • If an employee discovers any fact, situation, activity, etc., outside of their competence that could threaten the fulfillment of work tasks or damage the company's position, they are obliged to immediately report it to the relevant colleague or their superior.

6. Principle of Responsibility for the Company’s Good Name

  • An employee must not represent the company or communicate about the company with the media or other public entities without authorization, nor provide any non-public information in this regard.
  • An employee refrains from any activity that could jeopardize the good name or economic interests of the company, even in cases not directly related to the performance of their work.
  • An employee shall not abuse or misuse the company's name, brand, or logo for personal gain.
  • An employee defends the company's good name against slander, attacks, and defamation.
